Episode 1: The Asteroid Field

Darth Percussious

Darth Percussious

I recently had the pleasure of recording and shooting video for a good buddy of my Dan Hegarty, a.k.a. Jedi Drummer. He composed some insanely cool metal drumming parts to one of the pieces of John Williams score for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

YouTube is littered with videos of people playing to their favorite songs or, for the more creative, video game and T.V. theme songs but I haven’t seen anyone laying down some serious metal to Star Wars. I think Dan did an awesome job putting together drum parts that are not only interesting from a drumming perspective but are very musical as well.

We had a 12 hour day recording the tracks and shooting all of the video and I’m extremely happy with how it all turned out. Whether your a fan of Star Wars, Metal drumming or both I’m pretty sure you’ll dig this!

Enjoy!
Charlie
