NAMM 2010

NAMM 2010

Each year I look forward to NAMM! Not just because I get to see all the new gear but because I get to see a lot of people that I only see once a year. It’s more like a musical reunion and I have a blast (even though my feet are killing me right now!). It’s only day one and I’ve already seen quite a few people that I haven’t seen since last year including one of my favorite teachers from my Music Tech (McNally Smith College of Music) Dave Stanoch. Last year was the first time I had seen him since I lived in Minneapolis and it was great seeing him today. He has a new book out on Alfred called “Mastering the Tables of Time” that I highly recommend!

There was plenty of business to take care of too. Visiting with people from the companies that I am endorsed by and also talking with a few new ones. NAMM is a good time to do business but it can also be a hard time to do business because everyone there is trying to do business (did that make any sense?). For me it has been a good show so far and with most of my business done I can enjoy meeting some old friends, testing out new gear and watching some amazing musicians.

I’ve seen some pretty cool new gear and some pretty wild set ups. Over the next couple of days I’ll post some more pics for everyone to see. For now here’s a few.

Pearl’s new ePro electronic kit. It’s pretty freakin’ cool!
