Home for Christmas

A White Christmas
It’s been a while since I’ve had a white Christmas. Matter of fact I don’t think I’ve seen one since the 90’s. That’s sad. It’s also been a while since I’ve been back home for Christmas and having some snow makes it nice.
It’s that time of year again to gather together with friends and family and eat until your heart it content. This year is fun for me because I have seen some friends and family members that I haven’t seen in many, many years (in some cases more than a decade). Since I don’t make it home that often I’m going to try and make a few house calls to some more friends that I haven’t seen in while. I guess this Christmas will be a reunion of sorts for me. I’m excited!
I have two wonderful, and beautiful nieces, that don’t let me rest for a second. I’ve learned all about webkinz from my oldest niece Maddy. I think she is going to be a computer wiz someday. She picks up quick. She has commandeered my iPhone and learns programs quicker than I do. Claire is like the energizer bunny! She has more energy than everyone in the house combined. There is never a dull moment. She likes to stay up late and sleep late. Heck, she might be a musician…
I spent yesterday driving around KC shopping with my Mom. I’m not the best shopper. I prefer to do it online. But it was fun spending the day with my Mom.
My sister has been cooking for the last day and a half and I’m looking forward to eating way too much food. She’s a good cook so I expect nothing less than an awesome meal! Now if I could just teach her how to make stronger coffee…
The only thing that would have made this trip perfect is if the Chiefs would have won. I went to the game on Sunday with a buddy and we about froze our butts off. It was 10 degrees at kick off with a -12 degree windchill. That’s a little colder than it gets in LA. We were up at half-time but could only manage 3 points in the second half and therefore we didn’t win, again…
I wish everyone a very happy holiday. Be safe, have fun and above all enjoy your friends and family!
