No Relief in the Shade

Today is a hot one in North Hollywood. I’m sitting outside at Amsterdam Cafe working on some soon to be released music minus drums charts and drinking hot coffee! Probably not the best refreshment to have when it’s this hot but I’m not a fan of iced coffee. Something about it just doesn’t seem right.

But even though I’m sitting here sweating all over my MacBook Pro the charts and lessons are coming together nicely. I can’t do this kind of work while I’m at the studio because all I want to do when I’m there is right music or play the drums. It’s just way easier for me to concentrate on writing lessons out and finishing doing all of the notation when I don’t have any other distractions.

Plus I’m the only person out on the patio and have been for the last 4 hours. So I’m either lucky or I’m the only idiot who wants to sit outside when it’s this hot. Either way I have my own personal outside office and I like it that way.

If only there was a pool here…

Back to work now. There is still a lot left to do.
