Have Drums Will Travel!

It’s been a while since I’ve played a gig with Adrian. When I started doing the show at Forty Deuce in Hollywood, CA our schedules just didn’t work out anymore. So that was that, Adrian had shows and needed a drummer and I had obligations that made me unavailable. That all started in early, very early, 2006. Now it’s half way through 2008 and I’m excited to have the opportunity to play with Adrian again.

Adrian is a great guitar player and an absolute joy to play with. Plus he has put together quite a band for this tour with Chuck Wright on bass (never played with him before and I’m really looking forward to it) and a long time friend of mine Maureen Baker on keyboards. We play a 45 minute set so it will be packed energy and plenty of great playing.

I must also say that it’s quite impressive that Adrian, along with Doug Doppler and Steve Smyth, have put together a tour featuring instrumental guitar music. It’s hard enough nowadays to put any kind of tour together let alone an instrumental package. Especially here in the US where this kind of music goes against the status quo. This is going to be a fun tour with lots of cool music and great musicianship! Even if I wasn’t playing I would go see this show. I would also like to extend and invite to anyone in the following cities to come out and see the show, even if your not really sure what it’s all about. It will be a great experience and who knows, you might even discover some great new music.
