The 5 Freeway Never Ends

The 5 Freeway

Well we pulled into the hotel this morning around 3am to get a little shut eye. As tired as I was I had a hard time falling asleep. Not sure why. The bed wasn’t that bad and the room was dark and quiet. Whatever the reason was it made it hard to get up when the alarm went off this morning. Especially since I knew I was going to sit in a van for 5 hours.

All in all this drive isn’t too bad. The 5 is straight and boring but we’re getting close to the bay area so it’s getting a bit better. We only have to go a little over an hour north of San Francisco so we should be there mid afternoon. At least I hope we are because I would love to be able to check into the hotel and have a little time to go over a few songs.

That’s one of the challenging parts of being ok the road; Practicing! Not that I’m going to practice all day but it nice to be able to work on parts an solos and whatnot. But it’s kind of hard to do in a van!

Well we’re pulling into the bay area finally. The rock station in Santa Rosa is doing promo and and interview this afternoon so I’m expecting a good show tonight. I’ll give another update when we get to the venue. It’s getting to bumpy to type on my phone.
