Baked Potato show went great!

Last nights show at the Baked Potato was a blast. It was a great start to a tour. I was pleasantly surprised that we were as tight as we did. Not that I thought it wouldn’t be good but with only 1 rehearsal for 11 songs I didn’t expect the first gig to sound as tight as say the fourth or fifth gig. So needless to say I’m very happy!

So right now we’re driving over the “Grapevine” (5 freeway) on our way to Bakersfield for gig number 2. We’re in a good ‘ol Ford F350 van but it’s not too bad. I have my own bench (as every drummer should!) and I don’t have to drive! Traffic is light so I think we’ll get to Bakersfield way early. Guess I’ll have time to get my quota of Starbucks!

I’m writing this post on my iPhone in a bouncy van which makes for an interesting game of hit the right key. I’ll give another update a bit later when it’s easier to type.
