filed in News & Updates on May.18, 2008
The Basher has completed 8 tracks for the next Danny Jones record at his studio in Hollywood, CA.
“Danny is a phenomenal guitarist and it’s always a pleasure to work with him.” Say’s Charlie.
Charlie first worked with Danny on his 2005 release “Finding My Way” that featured his drum skills on 4 tunes.
“That was the first time I had ever worked with Danny. Matter of fact that was the first time I ever met Danny. We recorded those tunes very fast. If I remember correctly I drove up to Danny’s on a Friday night and the next morning we were in the studio somewhere north of San Francisco and home by dinner time.”
Danny’s writes instrumental music laden with blues riffs and plenty of melody.
“I think Danny’s tunes are some of the most accessible instrumental songs on the planet. It’s not just stuff for musician geeks, everyone can enjoy it.”
Also feature on the record is Whitesnake bass player Uriah Duffy. “I love playing with Uriah. He’s a great bass player and quite a character. It’s especially fun playing with someone of his caliber live because we can take so many chances and that keeps the songs fresh and exciting.”
The new record is slated for a late 2008 release. For more information on Danny go to www.dannyjones.net.
